CoolBook on Macbook Air

I ran CoolBook on my MacBook AIR for a few days to try and avoid some of the CPU core shutdown issues. CoolBook failed to produce the desired results and actually caused a predictable Kernel Panic. This is just no good; EPIC FAIL, but I was warned.

Using Macports for package management

A brief narrative about why I use Macports to manage instillations on OS X. Macports is a great alternative to using pre-compiled binaries and a whole lot saner than compiling your own source from scratch.
